Barefoot Hoof Trimming: Trims are tailored to suit each individual horse at each vist. For my own reference, I might take photos of your horse's feet before and after the first trim to establish a base line for comparison for subsequent trims. Prior to and after the trim, I also evaluate your horse's gait and general demeanor.
The actual trim is designed to influence the new growth of the hoof to follow the physiologically correct form applicable to your horse. I am meticulous with my trims and take as much time as needed. I am also patient and gentle during trims and pay careful attention to the feedback given to me by your horse. The resulting trim should allow your horse to move more freely and comfortably, and, many times, with more brillance.
For generally healthy hooves, trims are scheduled every 4 weeks to avoid overgrowth of the hoof between appointments. Ideally, the trim schedule should closely mimic naturally wearing hooves. This means that only minor adjustments and balancing should be necessary at each trim session. If there is a lot of horn to trim during a trim session, then the interval between trims is likely too long. Trims regularly scheduled for longer than 4 weeks may incur additional charges.
For pathological hooves (e.g., founder, lack of toe height, underrun heels, long toes, high heels, wall/white line separation, severe cracks, etc.), trims may need to be conducted more frequently than every 4 weeks (e.g., every 2-3 weeks) until the pathology is resolved.
Hands-on Energy Therapies:
A non-invasive hands-on healing modality that helps to balance your horse's bio-energy system and subtle energies. Once their energy systems have come into alignment, some horses have experienced relief from pain, stress reduction, emotional balance and a general increase in well-being.
Intuitively Selected Flower Essences and Other Vibrational Remedies:
Each custom remedy is intuitively created specifically for your horse and can assist with emotional and behavioral issues that your horse needs gentle assistance in releasing. Each remedy bottle could contain up to 5 different essences, depending on your horse's requirements at the time of creating the customized remedy. You may administer the remedies directly into your horse's mouth, water or food. Alternatively, you may also spray the remedy onto your horse's coat. Remedies are currently prepared using Flower Essence Service (FES) Healing Herbs and/or Perelandra flower essences.
